Rock On Movie starring Farhan Akhtar is hitting screens and is most awaited movie because of his debut . Lets see what the movie is all about and what other are saying about the movie.
What is in the movie
Rock on has very unglamorous star cast (in my opinion) of Luke Kenny , Farhan Akhtar , Purab Kohli, Arjun Rampal and Prachi Desai . Apart from Farhan and Arjun Rampal I don’t know anyone . Looking at the promos I think such movies are not for the star cast but for the script .
What movie is all about
Movie is a story of four people who forms a rock band and due to differences and ego clashes couldn’t carry it on but due to circumstance meet again after few year. Since this movie is from the makers of Dil Chahta Hai one can imagine some hangover and that’s what Rediff has put in there reviews. Though the movie is about four musicians , music is not central theme of the movie. Rock on is about relationships between characters and how music brings the relationship together and holds them.

Great acting and great performances from all department in the movie and as per Rediff ..

On the whole, ROCK ON!! is an amazing experience. The highpoint is the emotional quotient, the skilful performances and the superb execution of the subject.

Overall movie is surely rocking , looks to be great and a pleasant surprise since so many reviews are in sync and have given 4 stars . I think after Taare Zameen Per Rock On is the only movie which has got 4 stars from all the critics . So a must watch movie over weekend .

Rock on is an amazing piece of cinema and has the probabilties of achieving cult status..head and shoulders above the trashy stuff which is being shown these days.

Rock On - really Rocks…the direction, act, emotions..a great drama till interval and real rock starts after interval..!! A great music which makes your legs to move constantly..and at some point of time feel like watching LIVE STAGE SHOW..expected end..but in a live way…!!! after watching this movie, you may want to get attached with Drum, guitar, keyboard…!!

Excellent work from a group of very talented people
once again a truly splendid performance from farhan akhtar and this time in a totally different role as an actor and even more demanding a singer. this guy can pretty much do anything u will throw at him. I am beginning to winder as to why should he cast SRK in Don 2 when he can act so well himself and he is not that bad looking either.
It will be an injustice not to praise rest of the cast as this was not a commercial movie centred at the main cast. everyone did justice to their roles especially a much different and professional arjun rampal.
music not surprisingly is very lively and suitable to the movie’s requirements. everything else from direction to dialogues etc fit into their place perfectly.
but at the end this movie is all about farhan akhtar. He just gives you the best result possible whatever he does. great talent and a rare one indeed!!
I am not so sure if this movie will do big in smaller cities and rural belts but surely it should win the hearts of big cities public as well as the critics.

Rock on is the most beautiful movie i have ever seen in my entire life..farhan has proved it tht he is a perfect perfectionist,all the songs in the movie are excellent..some scenes are so touchy..it has created a nice magical feeling in my heart..if i would got a chance to put my opinion i would nominate ths movie in oscars..rock on rocks.
