Karzz is released this weekend starring Himesh. Karzz is creating lot of excitement as it is a remake of blockbuster movie by the same name starring Rishi Kapoor which had a blockbuster sound track from ever lasting Lamikant Pyarelal, apart from that Karzz will have Himesh without cap and with straight hair which is becoming hit among Himesh’s fan.
Karzz remake rights are brought by T-Series for a huge money so there is lot riding for them too apart for Himesh for whom it is his first release after Aap Ka Surror.
Let’s see how critics have fared Karzz .

Synopsis :
Since this is a remake of a blockbuster which I think everyone must have seen so there is nothing in terms of revealing storyline but lets check out at the cost of repetition. Karzz is about reincarnation of a man who in his previous life is killed by his wife for money and his vengeance .
Good and Bad:
Indifm has liked this movie very much because of Himesh and has ran out of adjective for this performance and to quote them
(Himesh) he’s Monty. He has to look the character, but most importantly, he has to act. And surprise, surprise, surprise, Himesh gets the demanding role right.
Indiafm has very high praise for Karzz and very few negatives.
TimeofIndia has gone totally negative and has hardly liked Karzz and to quote them here on one negative point.
The loosely written screenplay of the film is the weakest link. The film is filled with a series of clichés
Number of negatives in TOI are equal to the number of positives in Indiafm 
Lets see one more review from buzz18 before taking a final verdict
Buzz18 is more balanced in the verdict of the movie and has liked the performance of Urmilla (who is eye candy) and has praised the hardwork of Himesh . Co-star performance is also being praised.
Across the reviews there is consensus that first half is slow , Chemistry between Himesh and his lady love Shweta is missing and songs are one to many at wrong time.
Verdict :
Indiafm has given rating of 4/5 (yes !!!) and to quote them here
On the whole, KARZZZZ is rich in entertainment.
TOI has given rating of 1.5 and to quote them
With a poor screenplay and average performances, Karzzzz is an uninspiring remake and is completely avoidable.
Buzz18 has given rating of 2.5 and has recommeneded movies for Himesh fans.
Rediff has given rating of 1.5 and to quote them
Karzzzz is a completely unnecessary production, and all it can justify is the Zs in the title.
Though I am not a big fan of Himesh I might go for the movie just to see Himesh new looks.

Himesh is ok as an actor in karz. Full marks to cinemetographer. Only negative is so many songs which has reduced the pace in the first half.

Karzz is no copy of classic movie …it is a just a Himesh show . Go with that mindset and you may (yawn !!) like it .
First half is Himesh doing more singing than acting , Shweta is just for filling the role and for the sake of being there , same can be said for most of the actors . Urmilla presence in phenomenal and she is the real star of the movie.
Second half is where movie picks up pace and is better. Himesh did some acting in this part and is good , better then Aap ka suroor.
Since it is copy nothing much to write of direction. Karzz could have been better if not for all the songs , sometimes it was hard to figure out whether this is a movie with songs or songs with some stills in between.
Tooooo many songs made Karzz a 3 hour Himesh music video.

bhai mere phir aisi movies dekhta hi kyon hai.. be on a safer side.. TV’s are a little relaxed now, after getting free from ‘himesh virus’ but do you even bother to see such movies..

But for himesh’s fans it is most awaited movie As no movie of his has come since a long time (as music comp or actor)

The film is better than the original one. Also the music is great. May be hard to digest for the older people (who still likes dholak tabla noice). I appreciate Himesh’s hard work.

Those who say that the movie doesn’t have the story, I must tell all those people that it was told well in advance that this movie is the remake of the old karz. So, you should not expect anything from the story point of view. Himesh is excellent in the movie. He looks fresh and better than what he was in “Aap ka suroor”.

hi its sunny, see the movie karzz was fantastick. himesh has done very hard work for it. when i saw karzzz i like it from starting and this karzzz is better movie than those which released in those days. the song was in large amount w.r.to 3 hrs. but the movie was of an great music director and singer. so it was very very very very good in this way. and from the last 15 years sunil shetti, tushar kapooor,bobby deol and much more actors are working but they cant act. but himesh act much more better than them. jai mata di
