Imran’s movie, Kidnap has done very well on the Box office and has come out a winner. Considering that movie was released along with Drona and had to compete for the viewer makes Kidnap’s success all together sweet, yes there were others who contributed to the success of Kidnap like presence of Sanjay and Minissha and direction of Gadhavi but it was Imran’s movie .
But has Imran really arrived and will he be the next numero uno, who are in his way to achieve that position?? Actor who comes to mind is charming Ranbir who after disaster of Sawaariya has got success with Bachna Ae Haseeno , lets see who is the future king who delivers on the promises .
Imraan has played widely different roles in both his movie Jaane Tu… and Kidnap. Director Sanjay Gadhvi thinks that he is a very interesting actor and is here to stay.Imran’s upcoming movies are Soham Shah’s Luck and Abhinay Deo’s sex comedy Delhi Belly produced by Aamir Khan , in both these movies he is playing varied roles.
An interesting fact of Imraan you might not know is that he acted in two Aamir movies as a kid, Qayamat se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar. In Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar he played the kid Sanjay Lal who grew up to be Aamir.
Ranbir on the other hand got the Filmfare best male newcomer award for 2007 for his role in Saawariya. Movie honcho Mani Ratnam was impressed by his acting and has roped him in for his next film on the epic Ravana, says sources also he stars in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani and Ayan Mukherjee’s Wake Up Sid produced by Karan Johar opposite Kon Kana Sen,  both of which are romantic love stories.
I myself find Imraan a lot more ‘interesting’ simply cause his experimentation of roles is something that not many actors in bollywood are doing currently. And it would be great to see a more versatile actor in the indian film industry.
Ranbir on the other hand is a good actor but one who will quickly make a mold for himself as a ‘romantic lover’ in Yash Raj - Karan Johar type movies and then may be further on the line will try to change his look.
My personal favourite and one to look out for is Imraan who is yours ??
